Victoria, we are so glad to have the opportunity to talk about your work here at Springbrook. You’ve been with Springbrook for over a year now and have become a valuable member of our team as the Quality Assurance Manager.
Tell us a bit about your work background and why you chose this career path.
I previously worked in the seafood industry for 9 years. I studied HACCP by chance at work which is when I realised I was interested in the food industry. I was involved in a lot of managing, organizing and planning the food production to ensure that food quality requirements were met before exporting. I had a huge responsibility of learning and understanding food products in a systematic and scientific manner to assure food safety due to potential risks. Quality Assurance is one of the most important roles in the food industry and it’s a job I am proud to do.
Describe a typical work day of yours and what you like most about your job here.
I ensure that all external and internal requirements are met before our product reaches our customers. Ensuring our customers are happy is what I like most about my job.
Could you share with us a recent accomplishment of which you are most proud?
We have recently had a BRC Audit which was a first for Springbrook. I had a lot of support from the team at Springbrook during this time and we received excellent results. This was a huge accomplishment for both Springbrook and myself.
If you could change roles for a day here at Springbrook, what position would you choose and why?
It is very hard to choose only one job, however I would love to be a part of the Marketing and Sales team. I am happiest when I work with customers and meeting new people, I also love business trips!
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I am a really brave person, people think I’m not but I actually am.
Lastly, if you could describe yourself as a sauce or condiment what would you be, and why?
I would be Tomato Sauce, everyone loves Tomato Sauce and I can’t imagine having chips without it. Tomato Sauce might be a normal sauce but it’s also famous and popular like me. Or, I would be Passionfruit topping because it’s my favourite fruit and I have a lot of passion for Springbrook.
