Jacob (Cobby) is a Business Development Manager who seeks greatness, sees potential in people and helps them grow. Jacob is a realist who faces challenges head on. With Springbrook for 11 years Jacob has been surrounded by people from all different backgrounds with different personalities who share his passion for creating delicious condiments while having fun.
While not at work you can usually find Jacob mowing his 3000sqm lawn (sometimes hes gone for days), relaxing with family and friends at the beach or slogging a stray golf ball off his section back to the golf course with his 3 year old son Zac. We have been informed direction is not very good so think twice before buying a section near him anytime soon.
Victoria joined Springbrook to take on the Quality Assurance role. On a daily basis Victoria oversees the development, implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating company products and adherence to good manufacturing practices. Victoria has an uncontrollable desire to hit the road and travel, by whatever means desired, she loves to explore and when shes not sitting with her dog Lily having a coffee shes at the airport awaiting her next journey or on a highway heading somewhere into the distance.
Victoria is most known in the workplace for her love of stationary or being easily scared (although adamant that she is brave), which provides a lot of amusement for the rest of the team, although some days she can be found hiding behind a door waiting to get her revenge… shes a prankster at heart.
Business Development - Food Manufacturing
With over 33 years of industry experience he brings a wealth of knowledge. Mark (also known as porky or fog horn) is most known around the workplace for kind nature, loud voice, practical jokes, yawn songs and whistling… often heard before hes seen. Mark firmly believes “get the right people in the right seats on the bus and it will fly.” When Mark’s not in the office he can be found running around the wither hills, asleep or in the garden.
Mark is a ‘do it yourself,’ Mr fix-it kind of person who is worshipped by others for his ability to tackle any DIY project. One minute hes painting the wall and the next he’s getting out power tools to make or alter equipment. Mark’s inspiration and innovation saw Springbrook introduce the first automatic garlic peeler to the market in 1996 and the ideas haven’t stopped flowing since.
Jana is the point of contact for new business, the driving force behind targets to smash and responsible for growing Springbrook’s existing business. Alongside Business Development Jana is responsible for the implementation of a wide range of marketing communications and activities, mail campaigns and the creation of marketing materials.
Jana is most known for wearing a scarf (even through summer), blasting the heater through the office almost sending the rest of the team to sleep and for triple checking everything with her trusty ruler. When not at work Jana can be found lifting heavy weights at her local Crossfit gym, walking upside down on her hands on the Wither Hills or painting portraits of famous people. Though she has black hair Jana is the ultimate blonde who gives us all many laughs at her 100% blonde comments. It’s not hard to spot Jana, wrapped up in a scarf with her big red mug of steaming Chai Tea lounging by the heater dreaming of a life surrounded by at least 12 cats.
Josh (a jack of all trades) has spent over 11 years within manufacturing operational roles and does a little bit of everything, from engineer and IT guru (he thinks) to inventor and entrepreneur, Josh is responsible for the day to day coordination of the production environment which is motivated by a desire to roll up his sleeves and make production better in every way.
Josh (known as Jodda to some) has a passion for cooking and spends his downtime with family and friends. Whether hes right or not Josh somehow possesses the ability to win any argument and is most known for never backing down, being a practical joker, having the cleanest vehicle and providing ginger nuts for morning tea.
Michelle is the office nana and most importantly Springbrook’s Stock Controller overseeing the management, purchase, and replenishment of goods to ensure maintenance of stock levels and inventory systems. Michelle is our very own renovation queen, whether its painting, curtain making, sewing or building, Michelle can do it all. Although small in stature Michelle has a big heart and is most known around the office for her love of rugby (go the Mighty Makos).
Michelle is a firm believer that you always treat others the way you would like to be treated and loves that the people at Springbrook all work well together as a team, although sometimes Michelle can be caught with a rather mischievous grin that makes people wonder what she’s been up to…
New Product Development Manager
Greta is Springbrook’s New Product Development Manager who brings a wealth of knowledge after graduating from Otago University with a BSc in Food Science and Genetics.
Whether you’re looking to adapt an existing product to fit evolving consumer tastes or develop something entirely new, Greta will provide the support and expertise required to make your ideas a reality. So, if you’re looking for something fresh to keep your customer’s taste buds tantalised, look no further. Greta is up to the challenge. Seriously, it’s what she lives for.
When not at work Greta can be found at the local hockey turf, catching up with friends, adventuring, running the streets keeping fit or creating recipes in the kitchen and testing them out on friends and family. Although the youngest of the bunch Greta has yet to learn how to effectively hide her stash of caramel chocolate drops from the rest of the team for those afternoon cravings.
Taste testing is now the new norm in Greta’s kitchen as we regularly get requests to taste the newest creations, although we are not all as excited about trying garlic at 8am as Greta is…..
